Wireless microphone frequencies in Sochi, Russia. Winter Olympics.

Hey there,

Anyone shoot in Russia lately? We can't get a response from the Olympic committee, LOGOC, the IOC, or even certain contacts at Sennheiser regarding what frequencies are useable in Sochi, Russia.

The London games, for example, required us to buy completely new kits because of the frequency restrictions. Maybe too little too late since we're almost there, just stabbing in the dark here.

I would give JW Sound a shot. That board is populated by working production mixers and they probably have someone who would know where to look.

JW Sound is above and beyond professional, Matt is hooking me up with all sorts of info! Thanks for the help Noiz2!

I would get in touch with OBS as they provide all the TV and radio coverage facilities: https://www.obs.es/

There was a spectrum document for London 2012 but I haven't seen one for Sochi yet.

I suspect like London you will not be able to take radio mic's into the venues but for general presentation use your rights holder may also have to hire kit from OBS for use in the Olympic park.
