wireless lav newbie

I, too, am a Wireless Newb. I like to use the shotgun mic as much as possible, but I would like a Wireless Lav just to have another source to edit from. In addition, I could use the lav in combination with ADR for wide shots.

My budget is $700, though. (Maybe $900-$1000, depending on how long I wait)

Somebody suggested this a while ago.

I wouldn't fully rely on that package by itself, but would it work in combination with a shotgun mic?

Nooooooooooooooooooo don't get the azden!!!!!!

Get the sennheiser ew100 g2 for $500 and replace the crappy me2 stock lav with either a sanken cos11, a countryman b6 or b3 or emw.

Talk to trewaudio.com to make sure you get good service and get the replacement lavs wired the right way.
 
I have a shotgun mic i usually use which I'm happy with, but i need this lav mic for doc stuff I'm doing where I can't worry about carrying around a boom or dealing with the cable, plus I want to keep my profile a low as possible.
