Wireless kit

I am looking at the Senn EW500 wireless kit. How does the receiver get its power? Would I have to use an internal option to run a 9volt battery from the receiver to power it up or is there a way it can run off the camera battery? I know the wireless that I use on my ENG camera at work can run off the camera battery or in a pinch can run off the internal 9volt battery.

I use the 100, which I think is the same. It takes a 9v battery, or you can run from the camera's battery, which I've never done - saving all my juice for the LCD. The switch is under the flip screen.
