Wireless G2 directly into MacBook Pro

I am going to be recording some church service audio, and I'd like to just use my G2 directly into my MacBook Pro. I have the receiver->portable adapter, and I tried plugging it into the computer's input, but couldn't find a signal. I tried finding it in Soundtrack, FCP, even iChat, but never got it. What the heck am I missing?

The inputs on mac book pros need to be set.

Try to go to "system preferences'>"input">"line in". There should be an input volume bar you can adjust.
