Wireless FollowFocus Monitor System !!

Hi guys,

I just got lucky and received this new Wireless FollowFocus Monitor system from Wondlan a few days ago. So far so good and the system is reliable enough for what it should be doing. I have not tried it with our BlackMagic Cinema Camera setup yet since the SDI-HDMI converter is still on its way.

Oh what an idiot I was....
It is USD 2,350 and plus shipping since we are here in Malaysia. You might have a different price tag from any of the USA dealer though once it is there in the States.
 
Yup, it is quite a size but so far all wireless follow focus comes with around the same size of receiver. I have already mentioned this to Wondlan and hopefully in the next generation that will consider to shrink it.
 
The receiver is large - but that's because it has a battery in it, I'd presume.

What type of noise does the motor make when in use?
 
Yup. It has a standard 9 volt battery in it. The whole system comes with the battery and a charger too.

Well, the noise is very noticeable when you crank up the speed to the max. It is not that bad when less than half of the speed ratio it has.

I will do a thorough how to setup the unit video (out of box) and I can record some of the noises based on its speed on that video later.
