Wireless DMX?

What is a good portable, light weight wireless DMX solution?

The lights I use have a Cat5/Cat6 input/output for DMX.

I'm creating a single source, well lit, run n' gun style documentary indoors and would be adjusting lighting on the fly as I move around the open interior space.

Without doubt the best wireless DMX products in this part of the world are produced by the Swedish company Lumenradio - they do virtually all the high value, high prestige events and projects where reliability and cleverness is key. That said, the really cheap ones, and the phone apps they use to control the system are actually pretty good, mainly because the wireless side of things is cheap technology now. The only snag is that most wireless DMX products do not use networking connections - they come with 3/5 pin XLR dongles. I'm sure somebody does Cat5 to DMX converters, but none of my DMX kit has RJ45s, so can't help there.

I second Show DMX from CT. Wireless Solutions (another Swedish company) is also another good one. Stay away from the off band or chinese ones. The last thing you need is a wireless failure in the middle of a gig.

We use the show baby's quite a lot with the L7 and celebs and they work great. Would highly recommend them.
