wireless digital distortion

so ive posted about this before to no avail, but i realized something..

when i use wireless with lav mics into the HVX, i seem to always get intermittent digital noise. it sounds like the person speaking is entering the matrix for a second or two.. his voice breaks up digitally.

and this has happened with various combinations of wireless.. G2, lectronics..

and i realized, when i was recording to one channel on the HVX with the other channel as the on-camera mic, the noise was on both channels, not just the wireless channel..

but it only happens when i use wireless... is this just the nature of wireless? intermittent digital breakups?

or could it be the HVX? also, I am recording to tape. I used wireless when recording to P2 and I didnt get this digital distortion..

any thoughts?

try to take the reciever away from the cameara ,
check that your phantom power is down
its seems you have problem with your camera shilding .
and the rf from the recievers antannas traveling in
try to connect the reciever to any othger camera/ mixer to see if there is any change

Are you sending line level at a mic level setting and potting down? Not to insult your intelligence (I've done every mistake there is) but check your channel switches and make sure their on different channels.

i figured it might help if i put up an example.

this particular track is from a Lectronics wireless system, but as I said before, it happens on the G2 system as well.

the distortion is apparent during the word "but". (excerpt of an interview for indieoma.com)
