wired lav mics

I understand that wired lavs are less prone to picking up interference as compared to their wireless relatives, that aside, does a wired mic provide a clean pathway as compared to a wireless? for studio interviews, does a wired mic provide advantages?

no , the interference mostly caused by bad shielding and grounding , part of the mikes them self have problems to reject RF interference coursed by FM or am modulation.
usually most of the problems could be solved by using better cables from the mike bias supply connection ( or phantom to bias converter)to your mixer or preamp( starquads could help for dimers and high power lines problems)

for example - not every mike could work with Zaxcom wireless tx which am modulated
some brands are seriously infected .
the wireless transmitters could pick interfirenc from neon, hmi and xenon lights ,
not to mention interference from cellphones and other .

to go wire would be better for better signal since you can always watch and adjust your preamp gain , the wireless root can suffer from high transmitter/receiver self noise, bad limiters and poor signal .
wireless came to make the work much simple for these who in front of camera , they still cannot become 100% quality replacement for good cable ( but the gap now is very small so for usual TV applications it is working for 95%, but if you take the music recording it might not work at all)
