I have dv rebel book by stu maschwitz amazing book. He has a how to wire gag pull blood in his book but doesnt go very in depth. He said use zip lock bag fill it with blood and hot glue a button to it and attach wire then bam. Does he mean any kind of button and what to use for blood recipe?

thanks for any tips

Use a shirt button. you can then attach some piano line to it (fishing line can be too stretchy. Just glue it anywhere on the side of the bag. The book actually says to use superglue not hot glue. The superglue bond between the bag and the button will be stronger than the plastic bag and it will tear a big hole in the bag. Hot glue isn't strong enough a bond on a poreless plastic, superglue will melt both plastic surfaces together and make a solid bond.
Use corn syrup mixed with red food coloring for cheap blood. Add some blue food coloring to darken it, if it is too light/bright red.

Great book, I recommend it to anyone, even if you don't want to make action movies. You can apply its priciples to any genre.

What superglue should I use I bought some at wal mart last night it doesn't seem to make the button and bag stick?

Polypropylene bags are hard to get any glue to adhere to. Instead of using a lunch-bag, you may need to switch to another material.

Many people have good luck with condoms. Latex or polyurethane (hypoallergenic) will both work. I hope it's obvious, but you want the un-lubricated kind.

Condoms are definitely the way to go.. it's a perfect amount of blood for most bullet hits, they're easy to glue onto, and (though perhaps a bit frightening) break easily. ;)
