WIP/// diy combo crane with manual tilt / mini dolly

combo crane with manual tilt, and a mini dolly (a little more than 1 meter), i'm still working on it.
everything is recuperation or donation (as the heavy tripod for astronomy), except some hardware (40/50 € max). for example the pulleys comes from an old industrial Nyborg washing machine.

What do you have in place to lock the mini dolly on the crane?
Looks like it will fall off.

looks like its not used while the crane is in motion but used when the crane is laid flat. getting 2 rigs in one. I LIKE IT

exactly !
i need to push a little on the carriage to insert the wheels on the rails, but next i will add a system to prevent falling. i need to add a 3d head too.

i added a shroud (i don't know if the translation french/english is good) yesterday to avoid wobble.
but the movement of the camera support (crane) is not as smooth as i want, it is moving with some increments which are visible on the footage. i need to find a way to smooth the tilt rotation.
i plan to add a gearwheel and a bicycle chain to manually control the tilt, because for now the cable glides on the pulleys (and if i tight to much the cable, i've got problems with the rotation).

What did you construct this out of? When I first glanced at the photo I thought it was speedrail, but then up close I didn't recognize it...

i don't know how to call this in english, it's construct bars supports.If someone can translate : "barres de soutiens / maintiens pour le bâtiment, elles font 2m50 pour les hauteurs de plafonds standards, et peuvent s'assembler facilement verticalement et horizontalement grace à divers raccords"I use them in my laundromat to hang clothes customers.
