windscreen affects audio levels? will block voices?

I am going to purchase a windscreen for my sennheiser mkh-70

I have two options,

the 1 inch,

2 inch,

or 2 inch dense fur,

I will be shooting a feature, mostly indoors, but some outdoors in a park, and dont know if it will be windy that day or not, but most likely will be fairly moderate.

if I get the 2 inch, will i just be protecting myself for future shoots where heavy wind will be an issue, or will i just be decreasing the audio quality by over protecting it, blocking out too much where levels may be decreased?

Thanks.

For outside use a basket windshield is best - it affects the sound less than foam.

Personally I would use the standard Sennheiser velour foam windshield for indoor use and a Rycote basket windshield kit for outdoors - get the Rycote S-series if money is tight.
