hi there,
I have just got a new custom computer for video editing that has a dual core processor and I am using adobe premiere pro 1.0. The operating system i'm using is windows XP home edition and I have just been reading lately that windows xp home doesn't take advantage or recognise 2 processors and that it will only recognise 1.
I was just wondering if any one could shed some light on this issue and if this means that only one of my dual processors is being used with the home edition. Also if any one knows if there is a big difference between running home edition or professional edition for adobe premiere pro 1.0 and if it makes a difference.
my specs are:
AMD athlon X2 dual-core processor 4200+ (2.2ghz)
1gb ram
2 x 200gb hard drives
Nvidia 5800 geforce 256mb
any help is much appreciated
Daniel
