windows media player for mac

can anyone tell me how to install windows media player on mac?? i downloaded the mac virsion but its an exe file and i cant install it i heard i have to downlaod something else to install it but yes i have a dual 2.0 g5 with tiger 10.4 if that helps

If it's an exe file then you grabbed the wrong one. Take another look at MS's website and see if you can find the Mac one again, but...

WMP for Mac has been discontinued and is very old. Instead they're recommending the 3rd party solution Flip4Mac. Google that, it's free and allows Windows Media playback inside of Quicktime. I've been much more pleased with Flip4Mac than I ever was with WMP.
