Windows guy envious of Apple's LED display: What to do?

Apple's 27" machine runs about $1799 and has an amazing LED display. Although I work in tech, I have not followed the new technologies.

Can I use the Apple display on a Windows 7 machine?

Are there really nice LED's available on the windows side that perform as well?

Any advice would be great.

Hey thanks for the link. I love that shiny glass. Why is the matte finish better? Matte always feels softer to me whereas glass feels sharper. Maybe a false perception?

Matte doesn't have the reflection issues the shiny glass does. Reflections increase eye strain and make it difficult to work over long periods of time.
