Window formatted HDDs

I just added a Mac to my collection.
Now my key question is: I have a lot of video data on drives formatted in NTFS (Windows Format) on those drives are all video files in MFX format.
Can I mount that drive on the Mac and copy them to a Mac formatted drive?

yes, you should be able to read NTFS drives without a problem. you just can't write to them without a special driver.

oh thanks...don't need to write, just copy the files to the mac drive. once I copied them, I will format the drive in mac format.....oh, I have an other question:
I have 2 monitors and my video card has 2 outputs. The prime monitor works fine, but the 2. stays dark. in system preferance the 2. does not show up. is there anything I have overseen?

i would double check that all of the DVI connections are secure... then try switching which port each monitor is connected to.
