Wind in my Audio

There is wind in my Audio, nothing that would cause trouble, but is there anyway I can remove it in Premiere.

No. Wind is nearly impossible to remove at all, which is why you should do everything you can to avoid it.

If it's in between important things, you can cut out those sections, but then you'll have the problem of it starting and stopping.

Soundbooth may have tools to reduce it, but if you try to remove it too aggressively, you'll lose most of what you want to keep.

Noise reduction tools in soundbooth or audition

If you find a segment which has just the wind noise, both soundbooth and audition allow you to take a sample of that noise and use that as a pattern to remove the noise from the clip.
You can make adjustments to set how aggressively you reduce the noise, which will certainly degrade the signal to one degree or another.

What does your audio consist of, speech, music or just area sfx and how much wind is in the audio.

There'll be a limit where your audio is a write off, not worth any time to try restoring it. The more you shoot the more you'll get to know these limits and what to do about it.

As mentioned above, blocking it at the time of recording is definately the way to go. Good luck with it.

Cheers.

When it comes to audio: once bad, always bad.

Important to get it right the first time, as it can't really be fixed later.

Agree, you could try things like SoundSoap or whatever tools are included with Premiere to help reduce that kind of noise, but the more of the noise you take out, the more you will be distorting the actual content too.

Ok guys, I need some gear recommendations. I currently own a Canon T3I. What kind of equipment would I need for indoor/outdoor recording, accessories and stuff that I would need to avoid wind in the mic.

There is so many options (Senheiser, Tascam, Zoom).

Basically I need a kit that would allow me to be versatile, because am given different situations to record sometimes outdoor or sometimes Indoor.

I need familiarize myself with audio also, because without it the best out together film or project would look a mess.

There is a forum for audio, and there are stickies in that forum which do have quite a bit of information on equipment. For outdoors a shotgun type mic often is recommended. Further for 'wind' there are several types of accessories which are used. The 'blimp', big 'furry' blimp looking covering for a shotgun mic seen on many behind the scenes shots.

But even then, a windy day... is often reasons for doing recording in a studio, and working with it to make it sound like it is 'outdoors', aka ADR, Additional Dialog Recording, or Automatic Dialog Replacement... (I personally have never seen where the 'automatic' comes in...)...

There are also lavalier mics that may allow for a closer mic'ing of the talent, which may mitigate some 'wind' or environmental sounds... but in general, what is captured on the recording, if it is not intended, is difficult or impossible to remove.
