Wind Background noise fix in FCP???

I have a clip that has background noise (wind). I know there is a way to actually sample the wind, and remove it, or at least diminish it. Does anyone knows which filter to use and how to use it?

Cheers.

Your best chance of doing it in the FCP Studio suite would be with Soundtrack Pro. You export the sound clip into STPro and sample the noise you want to remove and then do a noise reduction. It's not perfect but it helps. You need to watch over doing the noise reduction, though, as it makes it sound like you're underwater if you go too far.

Actually, such noise reduction tends to work for constant noises (buzzes, hums, etc.), and not for varying noises like wind. Keep in mind that most wind "rumble" is at very low frequency; a high-pass filter might be your best starting point.
