Just a heads-up plp, but I submitted to this company helmed by Todd Parker and dude read my script (in less than 2 hrs since I sent it to him) and lo and behold, he liked it and wanted $3000 'seed' money to start production.

Complete waste of time.

EJ, I went through this same process a few months ago with another production company. First, the company gushed over my script and wanted to do a deal. Then, as we began negotiating an option contract, they began to hesitate on offering any cash up front. Finally, "seed money" and "A-list actors" began to be thrown around on their end. It was at that point that I realized they simply wanted me to do all the legwork and wanted to just cash in on a sure thing.

I understand that this whole "seed money" concept is actually making the rounds with legitimate, small-to-medium revenue production companies, but give me a break! A company shouldn't hedge its bets at the writer's expense.

Props to Mr. Parker, he's surpassed Douglas Villalba's infomercial scam by the worst deal on the board for writers. Way to go!
