Will you help me figure out how to make a battery powered led similar to this?

I want to make a battery powered version of one of these without wires or a battery hanging out of it. This is a 2 minute video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVuBzyUi0HM

I'm hoping to find a 12v 2a battery pack similar to this Digipower dps-9000 http://dps9000.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/dps-9000.jpg that I use with a vidled. It has a screw that goes right through it and I could screw it right into the light towards the base and run the cord through the hole where the light fixture goes. I need help finding a battery pack option for this! I'm fine with using velcro or a gps mount with an adhesive too. Whatever works! Can you help me find a battery pack for it?

I already ordered the first 600 led strip and the connector from the video. I already have 3 of those lamp bowls that I am going to convert.

I would also like a neat way to diffuse these. This is one option I found. http://www.samys.com/p/Glass-Covers...oduct-search&gclid=CIjlg9PGt7UCFQuqnQodmF8AlA A way to get gels over this without just taping them would be great too. Do you have any ideas for that?

Thanks!

I went with the Bestek for 31 dollars and I went ahead and grabbed one of these 12" diffuser socks for the first one. http://www.adorama.com/LTD12.html

Do you know a cheap way to gel them without the gel blowing off? Would colored saran wrap work? Can I get that big enough? Any clue where? Where can I get cheap gels that are that big? Do you have any other ideas?

Would colored saran wrap work?
unless there is a saran wrap for photography, NO!

if youre going DIY to this level, what you'll need as a basic gel set would be either CTO or CTB (to change gross light color from either daylight to tungsten) and ND to act as dimmer. you can pick up 24x24 sheets of that stuff pretty affordably at any even remotely reputable film or video retailer

Cool, thanks. I have gels. I want something cheaper so that I can poke holes in it and cut out shapes. Using proper gels adds up fast so I will figure it out. I figure with these led strips I don't have to worry about melting anything, now I just need to find something cheap and colored to shine this through! :)
