Will these Sticks Keep me happy ???

I wanna get some nice smooth as glass shots with the dvx and in the near future an hvx.
Please can I get some feedback from any personal experience out there.

Looking at:
- Manfrotto 503 Fluid Head with 055MF Tripod -
Does this cut it or is there a better / alternate option?

man thats expensive. But i know, you get what you pay for. My manfrottos are still doin good, legs sometimes collapse when then crane and extension kit are on with the counter balance weights.. oh well.

look I know that you get what you pay for and have been using sachtler video15 and video18 at the studio where I work. However this is for my personal use and therefore I really want to get the best within reason since I really believe those sachtler units are worth every penny and then some - but out of my range right now!!

so this manfrotto setup - costs more then some loose change but it is quality and it feels like it could be a good solid workhorse with long service life and be servicable.
