I'm sure we'll eventually see a HVX200 vs. 16mm vs. 35mm vs. Varicam vs. CineAlta vs. DVX100 with Andromeda. That will be one HELL of an article!!

I can't see sony pushing another line this quick, It's just like canon, I mean you could say canon is completly different market? but the way' I see it is Panny challenged the market; especially for indie productions, and it took both canon and sony a fair bit of time to come up with something that at the very least ( depending on who your debating) matches it or is a slight step up, but to late cause by the time they did Panny was just sitting quitly still selling and now will be dropping the HVX into the field, I think it's gonna be Z1 or HVX or JVC for the next bit, at least as far as this camera market goes....
 
Last I heard, Panny was only gonna be showing a mock-up at NAB, so Sony is under no real pressure yet, regardless of promises and specs.
 
Juan and the Reel Stream team will have a presence at NAB this year,
supposedly with a demonstration of the Andromeda accessory for the DVX.

It is unclear exactly what a presence is but at the very least should be a
conference room adjacent to the convention center. . . with some clear directions.

Though I wish them the best, an NAB booth is probably outside the price range of a
small proprietary electronics developer, but hey stranger things have happened to
investment capital.
