for a canon XHA1 and a DOF adaptor?

will it be good enough for making sure focus is good in HD? i havent worked with these monitors much so i don't know if this will be sufficient? but it is only 350 where the 8" HD one is 8-900...

The Ikan v7000 would not be recommended for focusing HD material. It has a resolution much lower than the HD monitors. It could be used for framing and its built in image flip would benefit any DOF adapter, but achieving critical focus would be difficult. . if you have any question feel free to call Ikan's support line @ 1+888-556-9331 (Toll Free) or email support@ikancorp.com

It's still a monitor and it will show you if your image is sharp. I just shot a feature length film with that monitor and the HVX200/SG pro. You're definitely better off with an HD resolution screen, but then again, you'd be ultimately better off with a Panasonic BT-LH900A 8.4" LCD Monitor for 4 grand.
