Will a HP Compaq 8510W cut it??

# 250 GB 7200RPM HDD


I can get this for "pretty" cheap with a dock. I do quite a lot of 7D editing and what I'd like to hear from the experts is if this thing will get the job done.

I CAN go for a new i5/i7 laptop for about twice as much, but I need to know if I can get by on this bad boy?

That's not going to cut 7D footage, nor will anything else except maybe a dual 1366 socket workstation.

You NEED to transcode 7D footage.
