Hi--I've been renting the DVX for various projects, and expect to finally bite the bullet and buy it in the next few months. I've gotta say, I've never seen such a massive range of prices for the same camera. There is a site called Photonation that lists the DVX 100a for $1400.00. If it were B&H photo, I's whip out my credit card immediately. But this just seems too good to be true. anybody have any thoughts?

USA photonation.com has no address on their site or whois, but the phone number on their site reverse look ups to this address. And the fax number on USAphotonation.com was the same as radioactivedeals.com. Now USAphotonation.com has a fax number in Idado. Taken on 12/12/04, so lots of Christmas shoppers out.

Actually, I've answered my own question. A Google of Photonation was all it took to realize this is exactly what I suspected..a major scam site. Just in case anyone out there has seen or been tempted by the prices on this site, I'd urge you to do some very easy research into the countless furious customer postings.
