Wikipedia Search tool for firefox

Just thought some of you might like to use this. As I read through DVXUser and other sites for that matter I'll often read about something I don't know or understand and then go and look it up on Wikipedia to see what it means.

With this extension you can highlight a word or phrase and right click and it'll open a new tab on wikipedia for you. Pretty small and pointless really but I liked it lol... saves me a bout 20 seconds of my life everyday... although I've now wasted about 100 typing this... damn it's gonna take me 5 days to recoup that :(

Firefox is the better of all browsers, yet Windows wont get the picture. I cant stand the fact that you can only access Windows updates and other downloadable packages from IE, not Firefox or Netscape. Worst of all, IE has no live firewall/spyware protection.

Anybody mind if i whore opera? www.opera.com

A different browser, better than firefox methinks. Its got a built in search function, etc, and dozens of firefox functions that are only enabled as addons already features - like the highlight, right click, search thing. Not to mention the most kickass of all thins browser - Voice Control(control control control). Truth be told most people probably wont use it much, but imagine your mom comes in and sees you going - 'Computer, open page, computer, search dvxuser.com, computer, reload, etc.'

KICKASS

Why not just keep a browser open for Wiki ?
I did say it was "Pretty small and pointless really but I liked it lol... saves me a bout 20 seconds of my life everyday".

As for Opera. The biggest downside I have with it is that it uses Internet Explorers engine. As such many pages that don't work properly on IE don't work properly on Opera. Both browsers do not follow W3C rules and as such cause conflicts when designing websites unlike Firefox. From the point of view of someone who designs on the web alot like me, firefox is leagues ahead of it's competitors and better supported by its users too.

Ahh, I see where you're coming from. Well, I'm hopeless at programming anyway...so Opera's good for me. You're right about how some stuff doesnt display well on opera, so firefox is my secondary browser
