.I was able to capture HDV/DV from my sony A1U for the past couple of days using vegas 8's capture console but now its not working. I can still control the camera through the capture console but when i play back video/capture video, the preview remains blue and all tho the time code is running, nothing gets captured. I'm capturing using firewire 400. any ideas on why this happens / how to fix it. this is the 2nd time I've run into this problem and it was corrected with a re-install of windows and vegas :badputer::badputer::badputer:
i tried going back and doing it with vegas 7 but the problem persists.
HDVSPLIT recognizes the camera but encounter the same problem when i try to capture. the capture runs for 1-2 seconds and then stops. the log file reads that no information was relieved from the camera.
