Widescreen not working

I tried the wide screen slug suggestion in this thread

it looks good but when I put it on DVD and it plays on TV it does not show at all. I tried to increase it but still it shows just a tiny bit and not as expected. I authorize the DVD using DVD studio pro which I think may be giving it the problem as it says 720 x 480i

The footage I am working with was 960 x 720 DVC HD PRO exported with compressor to 720 x 480 SD.

I also authorized the DVD with visualHUB and it looks ok, better then before but the black bars do not show as much as on the mac.

What am I doing wrong?

Turn on your title/action safe guides. Just looking at the screen grab it looks like most, if not all, of the black falls outside of action safe.

Lairhair brings up a good point about making sure your DVD settings are correct. Knowing what settings you used and what kind of TV you tested it on will help narrow down the problem.
