Widescreen DVD [PPro CS4 --> Encore CS4]

I've taken a PPRO 720p sequence and linked it out to Encore CS4 for NTSC widescreen DVD. When I played the end-result DVD on my Samsung Widescreen TV with the Sony dvd-player, it doesn't fill up the screen! It shows up widescreen with top/bottom letterheads and the video appears squeezed; If it were to stretch up & down to fill the TV screen, it would be perfect!

What am I doing wrong in Encore? (Premiere?)

First thing is check that your sony dvd player is set to 16x9 widescreen

That would be my first guess -- player setting.

Otherwise, Encore may have made a 4:3 letterboxed DVD. Come to think of it, I had some trouble with DVCPRO HD 720p material in Encore CS4; wasn't treating it properly on the timeline. In your project, does it appear as widescreen, or with black bars?
