Just went to buy a century optics .7 wide angle for the DVX100b and of course found out there are more things to consider.
You can't put a UV protector on the Century Optics .7 so you need a matte box, or sun shade. This adds about 600 bucks to the price of the lens.
On the 16x9 .7 wide angle you can get a UV protector for it and sunshade witch adds another 325 - 400 to the cost of the lens.
I've seen a lot of talk on the wide angle and being at the store and attaching both lenses to my dvx the Century Optics is .05 wider and looks better - but I wasn't expecting the add ons.
Can someone please tell me their experiences w/ these lenses and if the shades/matte boxes are necessities.
Thanks
