I've read the posts about wide angle lenses - everyone recommends century .7. Could someone explain how this lens is different from the panasonic .8?
Thanks
Isn't it wider (the century) and better glass? I have no idea. I can hope that the panasonic lens is leica made but maybe that's asking too much.
The lower the number, the wider the lens. Someone correct me if Im wrong but this is what I have heard. The decimal is a percentage of how big the picture will be compared to the original. So with a .7 lens, the image will be 70% as large as the original image. With a .8 it will be 80% as large. Hence the .7 is wider.
