Wide angle lens for 16:9

Hi
I'm going to shoot my feature length movie with the 100A in the near future. Would like to shoot it in 24p 16:9 and have the option to convert the tape to film if a prospective distributor chooses to do so. A friend told me that I should use the 16:9 wide-angle adapter so that my pixels aren't stretched. If I use this adapter will I still have to shoot in letterbox mode? Any suggestions? Thanks.

As stated when using the anamorphic adapter you shoot standard 4:3, you then alter your capture in your NLE to (16:9) 1:2. Rather a simple process.

No the the lense isnt anamorphic, it will convert it 16:9 with black bars

Did you mean without black bars? Because once converted the Anamorphic lense gives you true 16:9 widescreen and will play on a widescreen TV at full screen.

Anyway Kim if your interested heres a clip from a short Im working on using the ana lense:
