Wide angle lens apapter

Hi guys, been spying great advice on this site for a long time, hope to contribute a little more in the future.
anyways
Came across this set on ebay, just looking for opinions,
its quite cheap, would there be much loss of quality in the picture?
id just be using it for experimenting.
any other wide angle adapters for the hvx at a reasonable (cheap) price?
 
Personally I would not want to have to use a step down ring (from 82 to 72) to a wide angle lens. I think that would reduce how wide you can pull out. Secondly, I didn't notice if the wide angle lens is zoom through. If it's not, to me, it wouldn't be much use.

There are far better products out there.

yes not being able to go totally wide kinda defeats the purpose alright.
not sure i understand the issue with the zoom, could you elaborate,

That thing is complete crap, I used to have one. Edge distortion is horrendous and there's so much vignetting that once you zoom through it's no longer a wide angle. For wide angle adapters only the reliable brand will work such as Schneider, 16x9 or Century.
 
This is another example of you get what you pay for. Try to get something on the cheap...more than likely it is cheap.
