Why would anyone need this?

Not sure why anyone would need this, especially P2HD users. Sure, you can connect a high end field monitor to your computer with this, but.... would you really do much else with it?

I'm guessing if you were using a different type of camera every day, this would come in handy, but how many of us actually do that?

Tape is far from dead my friend, and post houses have to be flexible. P2 is great, especially if you are chopping what you are shooting, but if you have a client that wants fly out after a shoot, it's a lot quicker to hand them a tape, than to dump footage.
