Why Vegas???

I've looked over the posts on the DVX & Vegas (got pretty heated), but the DVX aside (I have GL1 & a betacam as well); why choose Vegas over other NLE's? I am either going to upgrade to Premier Pro or get into Vegas or maybe AvidDV (I've edited on Media Composer). I have a trial copy of Vegas v.5 and it seems like a decent program. Just wondering what if any advantages there are with Vegas?

Honestly, I'm not trying to avoid the question, but we've already had several very long threads on exactly this over the past couple of weeks and I doubt anyone wants to go through all that again.

Pretty much, the only objectional think I can find about vegas, is that knowing it is unfortunatly not going to get you a professional editing job. . . . . . . yet. I think that vegas is slowly becoming better known, becasue of it's complete customizability, and ability to work with virtually any type of footage, mixed all in the same timeline. But as of this point in time, Vegas is not considered a "profesionall" editor, although there are many people around here and other places that are making money using it, I guess I am one for example.
But if that is seriously the only down side I can find, after having used the software for 2+ years, they have to be doing something right.

vegas has some incredible audio tools that the other NLE's have yet to match; Vegas has nver crashed for me in the last 4 years; the most stable NLE on the market imho. Easy to use.
