Why the... I am getting black blank footage after all my exports...

Hey All,

Why the hell am I getting a bunch of blank black footage on the end of my exports?

I have transcoded prorez that I am exporting prorez to take into compressor. Nothing in my time line and also set the out points. It seems like its always DOUBLE the length of the project - all black.

FCP 6.06
MBP 2.4ghz 4gig ram

I'm sure its been covered, but I did some searching and couldn't find much.

No one heard or had this happen to them? I ran into it a few times... need to know what is causing it...
 
I think I get the same results.

If I use the quicktime conversion it does work. But I am trying to export a high quality version with prores and keep getting double the time blank footage at the end of the exports.
 
If you export to any other format, do you still get black ...? I am thinking it might cause your footage or the codec error ... have never had the problem before, but ... just a thought, if you can export to any uncompressed file, it shows that there might be a problem with the codec or your setting for the output....

Checked for things out on the time line, nothing there on many projects many different times.

This is happening most of the time when I am exporting high quality prores. Then I take it into compressor. I missed it a few times, got all done compressing and uploading and then aw crap - bunch of black footage.

Its double the size of the video in blackness, so yeah I think its a codec issue or something of the sort.
