Why mini-dv tapes do not play correctly in Premiere?

I got 4 mini-dv tapes of a wedding, coppied from a large dv tape (commercial camera).

Both of my Sony VX1000 and Canon Elura 50 show the video on TV with slow-motion effect and intermitting voice (noise).

Premiere 6.5 capture via DV/IEEE1394 with Canon Elura device control showing video on the Movie Capture panel. Both video and audio were captured with slow-speed effect (video is slow and audio is fragmented, audio track shows blank gaps of 1-frame length in every 3-frame intervals.

Capture with Sony VX1000 via DV/IEEE1394 does not show video at all. If I add S-Video and RCA-audio connections then I can capture video and audio with the same result as above with Canon Elura...

Can you explain why and help me out with this problem. Can it be the framerate problems and how to resolve it? Thank you.

Does the video play/show up on the VX1000?

Video shows up on the VX1000 only if I add S-Video connection. However, both video and audio are captured with slow-motion effects: video jerks significantly with panning, audio track contains blank audio-frame every 3 frames.

It seems like the format on tapes contains more frames than it 's supposed to be for a proper play back? I heard about 2:3 pulldown process, can this be the case?
