Why is nesting so crappy?????

Nesting projects is basically useless for me, because I cannot then watch anything in real time.

Is there some magic button or setting I'm missing? Or is it just because I told my computer it looked fat in those jeans? What is the deal?

Better jeans than speedos I guess.

I just tried the nesting. I think there is so much calculating vegas has to do it can't display it realtime. I can step through it and can get a chunky display but not realtime.

From Vegas Help I found...

"
From the Tools menu, choose Selectively Prerender Video (Shift + M)to render temporary preview files for the sections of your project that cannot be rendered in real time. These temporary preview files are used when you play back that section of the project"

Maybe try that.

And taking just as long. Then I guess it'll use that in the timeline.
