Why dvx bootcamp is so great!

Wondering what makes dvxuser bootcamp so great??? So many reasons, but i will start with the two most important... the speakers are brilliant. They truly know what they are talking about. Also, they are so passionate. They have much excitement to share their knowledge with everyone. They are humble, down to earth, real people. All these factors make such an amazing vibe for the whole group to benefit from!

Thanks for all your help with the shirts and everything Deb and the kind words for all of our presenters.

You definitly have patience to sit at that laptop for all that time with lights going off and on all around you. :)

Ah, the distraction of a game. I think I could sit through a reading of the whole encyclopedia if I had a game in front of me.

ha ha ha yeah. Debranne's a trooper thats for sure.. there is no other explanation to describe how she can put up with me everyday :)

except for that tall guy ... who the heck was he and why did he keep asking me if I was sure I didn't want his autograph?

for me it was great because I learned a lot and got to thank people in person that I had already learned volumns from but never met

another thing would of course be the direct communication - it's one thing to PM Barry or start a thread asking a question and then getting a written response, but its really cool to have that "oh i see ... but what if" type communication.

oh and another thing would be seeing all that HVX footage properly presented -- you just couldn't tell the difference between that and the varicam stuff and it looked amazing -- zero noise

it seemed like, from what I saw and some of the comments, that the noise myth is a product of crappy LCD monitors and underexposed footage

but beyond that the footage was really inspiring

... er ... and the T shirt ... I know that sounds dumb next to the other stuff but I am a sucker for a cool T Shirt
(even if the tall guy did insist on signing it -- who is that guy!?)

EDIT: I forgot that the only bit of swag I like better than a T Shirt is a cool lanyard, which was part of the deal too

i was so sorry i didn't get to officially meet you. i seen you recording(in new york) and was going to go give you some trouble(for fun) but was to busy running around for that tall guy!! anyway, i loved your zombie movie, and since then i have been hearing wonderful things about you! hope to see you in hawaii:)

Ha I wish!

though uhm ... if you guys need help and can get me there I'm certainly available, lol :cheesy:

I didn't really know what I was shooting for at the HVX bootcamp, and while Barry was lit quite darmatically (very sculpted), you couldn't see his eyes all that well on the tape - a little bounce would have fixed that without ruining the projections I think ...

I'm sure I could get it just right in Hawaii :)
