Why does it have to be over?

I bought Six Feet Under: The Complete Series on DVD when it came out two weeks ago. Never have I been so touched by any film or TV show, and it makes me wonder if there's anything this show left unsaid.

The finale is so moving. :crybaby:

The finale is one of the best hours of television I've seen. Very moving end to a great series.

I just can't get over how great the episode "All alone" is. I think we could all stand losing 90% of everything ever written or put on film because the stories just don't work, but the world would be a darker place without Six Feet Under. Never before have I seen anything like it, and never again will there be a show to surpass its impact.

Why do I love it so much? I find it incredibly unsettling that our time has to end, but no matter how I feel about it, it has to happen because that's one of the rules of the game -- perhaps it's the only rule. It has merit in other areas... it proves that personal conflict can also be commercially successful. I dig Little Miss Sunshine for the same reason.

I haven't seen Little Miss Sunshine, but I got through Six Feet Under and felt inspired. I love HBO.

The series finale of 'Six Feet Under' had me acting like a 14 year old girl seeing Titanic for the first time.

One of the best series ever on HBO; up there with Sopranos, OZ, Entourage, and Dream On.

I'll tell my wife. She used to work on SFU and will be pleased that you enjoy it so much.

That's awesome.

You can tell her it had me crying like a little schoolgirl. I just rewatched the first seasn.

I never watched it. But you guys have gotten me to give it a look. I'll see if it's on HBO On Demand when I get a chance. I also have been waiting to see Little Miss Sunshine.

That's cool! What did she do? Did she get to work on the finale?

She was assistant to one of the executive producers. She left to work on another show, after the first season.

I believe the first season is on demand.

The gay brother in SFU is also the main character in Dexter, on showtime. The season finale aired a few weeks ago, and that character suits him much better than the role he plays in SFU. Its an amazing show but...

SFU had me crying as well. It reminds me of my grandfather when he passed. So sad
