Why Do You Buy Things?

Got my copy of McGuinness Flint "The Capitol Years" in the mail to today.

Why did I buy it?

Well, when I ordered CD versions of my Gallagher & Lyle LPs, Amazon recommended McGuinness Flint because Gallagher & Lyle were in the band.

Why did I have Gallagher & Lyle LPs?

Well, Bryan Ferry did a G & L song on one of his albums. I liked it, so I picked up some albums by the songwriters, G & L.

Why did I have Bryan Ferry disks?

Well, he was in Roxy Music, and I bought solo works by all of the members.

Why did I have Roxy Music records?

Well, I was browsing the cut-out bin in the student bookstore at MSC and saw a pair of semi-naked women on the cover of an album: Roxy Music "Country Life". So I bought it.

So...logically speaking...I now own a McGuinness Flint compilation because Constanze Karoli and Eveline Grunwald posed prettily in Portugal.

I love odd chains of events and such. How about you?

OK, that was a really funny read, but I dont think I have the patience to chain out why I bought something, I mean, chances are it would come down to the same thing anyhow: a hot chick.

Gallagher & Lyle (of McGuinness Flint) have one of their songs on a Bryan Ferry album

Bryan Ferry was in Breakfast on Pluto (2005) with Morne Botes

Morne Botes was in Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) with Colin Firth

Colin Firth was in Where the Truth Lies (2005) with Kevin Bacon!

I didn't buy anything, but it was fun to think about none the less.

Two weeks ago I sat in on a recording session with Kiefer Sutherland.

I got to do that because of my internship at Epic Level Entertainment.

I have my internship because Jane forwarded me an email for a job posting.

Jane got the job posting because she is a film major.

Jane is a film major because she got into it after starting to date me.

So by that logic, I am the reason that I met Kiefer Sutherland. Nice.
