Why do my titles look different once exported?

I made some titles in AE and they look crisp inside of AE. Once I export the file (default setttings, lossless, best settings) they seem to have a thin black outline on one side of the text. what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

premultiplied. i'm not even sure what that means so i hope thats the problem.

okay, i tried it straight and premultiplied. They are both off still. Any other ideas? thanks for the help.

Did you do any keying? If so, place a different colored layer (like orange or yellow) below the titles to check if the black fringe didn't already exist in the comp before export

What kind of "titles"? and how did you make them?

Did you export lossless with alpha channel?

How are you viewing the export (what software) ?

It is just basic text over video. Nothing fancy.

Its just lossless. I did some color correcting to the background clip so I'm using the whole file and not just the text.

I exported the file and I'm trying to use it in final cut. I also see the black edge in quicktime.

Are you on a MAC?

Did you use anyother effects like bevel edges, layer styles etc...

What did you export as? lossless/uncompressed in mov? what happens if you try something else like animation codec or png in mov?
