Why can't I SEE my MVI video clips in Vegas 6, but can hear the audio?

I took a few short movies with my Canon A-95 Powershot Digital camera and imported them into Vegas 6. When I tried dragging them up to the video track area, only the audio showed up (and played fine), however, no sign of the video. What's up with that? Can anyone help?:(
 
Because you don't have the proper video codec installed to see it!

What format is the video? (It's probably MJPEG but you may wish to use something like gspot to determine that). Once the proper codec is located and installed, it should work fine.
 
I've installed the Morgan Codec software that you recommended but Vegas 7 (or 6 for that matter) still doesn't recognize the video track but it does see the audio track.

I installed GSpot to examine the codec and it says that the proper codec is installed on my computer. What else could it be?
