why are the images oversized in my timeline

hey guys
i brought an edited scene from one timeline into the project's main timeline. the sequence i was bringing in i put in slow motion (by adjusting the speed). so everything is clicking along fine until it gets to the part i just added and now those images are so much larger than than the rest. it is like it zoomed in my images because i put them in slow motion. everything is at 74% (including what i just added). so i put it to fit in window and that still didn't fix it... i have rendered it... that didn't fix it... anyone?

What formats are you shooting in? SD, 720,1080 etc? For example you may be adding a 720 clip to a 1080 timeline and it is having to enlarge it to match....? :-/

I may be completely wrong but if you give some more info on what your settings/formats are etc that would help a lot

Cheers

i am using fcp 6 and i have some footage that is 60p at 720 from my 7d and then the rest is 1080p at 24p so that very well could be the problem, but man, there has to be a work around for this to keep me from having to edit the whole movie in one timeline. that is too much moving stuff around for any sort of insert... any thoughts?

if you had a 1080 timeline, and then added the 720 clips to that, they should scale up to 1080... if you did it the other way around, you will need to scale down the 1080 clips to go into the 720 timeline... that should work best as you are not losing quality but scale up the 720 clips. have a play with adjusting the scale.
