Why are some clips 29.98fps in the browser?

I have some clips that are showing up in the browser as being 29.98.
I just captured them, so I went back and rechecked the settings and they appear to be fine- pulldown removal is enabled, etc.
Other clips captured with the same presets yesterday are listed as 23.98 in the browser.

What happened?

Is there a fix or do I need to recapture the footage?

Open the clips in Cinema Tools and analyze them. What does it read for FPS?

Then drop them back into FCP, and I'll bet they now read 23.98...

FCP's weird like that.

If anyone's having this same problem, it turns out it was a break in Pulldown Cadence.

I used Tools>Analyze>Clip to check for dropped frames and there were a couple.
Then I tried to use Tools>Remove Advanced Pulldown and got the "break in pulldown cadence" warning.

It's a long clip, so I probably just need to capture it in smaller segments and narrow down the problem area.

Still troublesome

Still troublesome

I am still having trouble with this, and also hearing from other FCP 5.1 users that are experiencing the same problem.

Any suggestions?
