Aside from different times - it would inevitable lead to a loss of valuable information. Say, I remember somebody was discussing something very useful, I can bookmark it, I can return to it a month later...

With chat, I'd lose that ability.

A chat room would definitely not be any form of a substitute for the main forums. It would simply be an added bonus for those of us who want to just BS in realtime...vs clogging up the forum with misc posts and smileys.

A "Cafe ala DVX Part II" if you will...

To make things easier, why don't you install AIM or ICQ. That way you can talk or say whatever the hell you want without worrying about MODS or my smileys.

Well I don't really think that we clog up the board with BS... I think we clog up the Cafe with BS. Which is essentially what the Cafe is for, banter and discussion that don't belong in other places.

EDIT: BS is a debatable term... I think our discussions in the Cafe, while not necessarily productive do help establish a sense of community.

Heck, I'm heading to Bucharest tomorrow morning (well, in 7 hours to be exact) and won't be back until Monday afternoon.

Catch up? No way...

I'll just hope no one says anything important while I"m gone. ;D

Yeah, it went great. Time of my life, so far! I have the footage captured that I was able to get and put a few grabs up on Zoomforce to put in the grabs section, but they are super pixlelated and look awful. I will try again here in a few minutes. :)

I just added one of the grabs in that section. If anyone can help with how awful the thing looks, let me know. I only got to shoot about 15 minutes of footage in the whole 12+hour day, but it was soooo fun. I, of course, was just overwhelmed by "it all", that I think I was standing around at times with my mouth open...with that I cant believe I'm here look. hahaha!!!!

Now I'm in the middle of editing some footage shot over the weekend.

Luckily, it wasn't shot on the DVX, or you guys would ask to see it...and my girlfriend would have my head.
