I was curious who everyone uses for their gear. Im looking for a new shop to buy my gear from.
Maybe we can compile a list of who has the best prices on some of the most vital gear.
For example:
who has the best price on gels/filters?
who sells the cheapest gaff tape?
OR
Where have you found the same equipment/parts/gear but under a different "name" for a fraction of the cost.
Who sells gels (for theatre or some other application) that charges a fraction of what rosco/lee charges. For example, you can buy a complete tool belt from home depot for $30. But a place like filmtools will charge $30 for just one pouch and call it an "AC pouch".
I like to order my tapes from Uline.com they are a large manufacturer and happen to sell parmacel tape (gaffer tape) for cheap (no film tax).
