Who's going to Denny's?

Free Grand Slam until 2PM! I myself don't feel like rubbing elbows with every homeless person in Los Angeles.
 
We tried at about 11, and the wait was way out the door. Not worth it. All the places around Denny's have to be real happy though.
 
The Denny's around here is pretty nasty, so I haven't been been there in years anyway. Totally not worth it. Haha they can give away their food and I still won't eat it.
 
Any restaurant whose tagline is, "We're Always Open" scares me...I mean really, doesn't that say something about the quality of the food? I'd rather eat out of the cooler at a 7/11.

Denny's are consistently nasty, regardless of location.

There's something to be said for consistency.
 
what? Dude I prefer Dennys over IHOP any day. The food and service is way better. Yeah but i'm not making that huge wait/line for a free meal. I'm going to Poquito Mas in Westwood.
 
Never meant to suggest that IHOP is particularly worth eating, either. They're not even as generous with the grease, as Denny's.
 
Today I tried to go to 2 different Dennys, BUT the line was really long. While my son wanted to get a free breakfast, my time is worth something to me, so I was not willing to wait 1 to 2 hours just to get a "free" breakfast.

I also assume that hidden in the fine print is 1 free breakfast per party....

What's a grand slam cost? $5 or $6? I'm all for free **** but who gets in an hour line for $5 worth of breakfast. For the record I'm a fan of Denny's greasy nastiness. IHOP is a little too sterile and clean for me. Waffle House I'm all over... Could sit at the counter and inhale the grease there all day... And then there's this place called First Watch (its a local thing) - they have this thing thats just a bowl with biscuits gravy, sausage and a couple of eggs (over medium for me!) Damn its good. Stir it all up and enjoy the heck out of it. Comes with a side of those little cubed up potatoes I like to stir in there.... Damn I'm hungry now...
 
I went and only waited 30 mins. Got my free breakfast, left a tip and left. They had the grandslams constantly being made so there was 0 wait to get the food. I ate in less time then the wait.

All and all worth it. No homeless people actually. I guess it depends on which one you go to. Mine was lots of young adults, teens, and people with young children.

It was actually really well run. The people were fast and it was a free grandslam per person. My two roomates and I all ate for free. It wasn't bad at all. From the time we pulled in, to the time we left full, it was about an hour or less.

Also, if you decided not to wait or got there after 2pm they gave out vouchers to come back another day and get a free grandslam. Nice of them.
 
A guy that I work with said his daughters came home from school and told him that alot of kids didn't come to school because of the free breakfasts at Denny's, unbelievable, ha. I guess all the Denny's around here had lines wrapped around the building waiting.
