Who has the best tax credits?

I live in B.C. and already know what the deal is here based on where I live. I'm very curious as to what the situation is elsewhere. If you already know, I'd be interested in hearing about it. If you aren't up on the information then don't bust an artery or anything finding out.

Not sure, but it's 30% in NY and CT. NYC also has a 4% credit currently IIRC, so it's 34% total here. Probably not too many places offer much more than that I'd imagine...

Michigan has a 40% tax credit, with it reaching 42% in some communities. From what I hear, there has been a lot of filmmaking happening there.

Iowa had 50% tax incentives up until mid september when it came out that a lot of local "filmmakers" were scaming the program and doing stuipid stuff like buying land rovers and a Mercedes on the dime of the production.

Lot's of people have been talking about Oklahoma, 30% cash back, it's a cash rebate so no tax credits to hassle with, a min spend of $50k. Lot's of these states have a min spend of $300k+ so that's something you need to take into account for a low budget production. I think NM is 25% cash back with no minimum spend.

What's the minimum spend in Michigan?

You also hear stories of how long it takes to get the money, and whether the state will have the funds to do so at any point in time. Another thing to take into consideration.
