Who could help with DVD STUDIO?

okay so here is the deal;
i just finished a very low budget independent film that is a full lenght. i created a dvd for it through DVD studio and made some special features and things of that sort. it totalled out to be 7.6 GB. i know that wont fit on a regular DVD R, so i bought some dual layer DVD+R DL. as a test run i just opened the blank disk and loaded it with diffrent clips so it would reach 7.53 GB and burned it. it worked just fine, so i knew my comp. didnt lie to me and it would burn DVD+R DL. but when i try to burn it in DVD STUDIO it will not work. it gives me an error massage that:
Formatting was not successful. Layer 0 exceeds the maximum layer size allowed. Please choose a suitable marker location that will support this condition.

i dont believe its DVD STUDIOs problem because its burning regular dvds just fine. so if anyone has a solution for me or could tell me why its not working that would be so great.
thanks

you have to set a marker where the first layer switches over to the second layer but it but it has to be before the data limit of the first layer (4.27GB or whatever)and also be sure you have the dual layer format checked in the advanced disc settings
