I'm wondering why there seems to be at least three times less activity on this site during the weekends...

Should I deduce that there are fake users appointed by DVXusers.com — like on the porn sites ? Is it well paid ? I wanna be part of it !

Or rather should I deduce that our jobs are so boring we have to spend our "working" days in front of our favourite board — this one — in order not to become the antagonists of "Seven #2" ? Are these jobs so useless that it doesn't make any difference if we spend our time DVXusering rather than selling life insurance policies, installing home-theater gear, answering to hotline customers or whatever ?

By the way, what do you guys do for your living ?

As for me, I'm a post production sound engineer (dubbing and foley recordist mainly). What about you ?

No, seriously, I'm an attorney, a VP in a very large company, part-time writer, kind of a jack-of-all-trades, and, like John, a wannabe-filmmaker who's hopefully going to be an actual filmmaker soon.

Details can be found in the profile, but by day I design the editing software for Avid Technology and have been doing so for almost 15 years. The Avid Film Composer was my baby back in 1992 as well as all the 24p development working with the engineers.

By night and weekends I am a filmmaker and feature film editor. I am currently editing "Johnny Slade's Greatest Hits", a 35mm feature produced by John Fiore (he and several actors from the Sopranos are acting) as well as a feature documentary for the ASC called "The Art of Cinematography" directed by my friend Jon Fauer, ASC.

I will get back to some directing this spring/summer with a short film called "The Family Game" in preperation for a feature based on the same.

By day I've been a rocket scientist, an ISP founder, and so on, but these days, I'm a C# developer for a small, evil, drunken financing company who is destined to rule the world.

By night and weekends, I'm working on movies, music videos, commercials, and secret alien technologies.

I am a High School student, who spends all his time either:
a) at school,
b) at work, which is editing for a video production company
or
c) making my own films.

I wanna be a filmmaker, too!

In my off time, I run a small post-production boutique in St. Louis.

I am a full time producer, and a part time camera operator and editor, though currently I am under going the process of starting my own production company….

As well I am eagerly awaiting the fall when I will also again become a film student.

And like most of you, I am an aspiring film maker.

I'm a Creative Director in an Ad Agency here in Chicago, and I also want to become someday a filmmaker. I'm also a proud daddy of a 9 month old baby (who is and will be subject to many of my little shorts).
